The BRAIN is our most important organ and it is vital that we take good care of it. There are many things we can do to boost and improve our brain health, and MEDITATION is one of them. It is simple, free, and easy to implement into any lifestyle. If you aren't already including meditation in your daily routine, I encourage you to consider adding it. Even starting out with just a few minutes a day can develop into a lifetime habit that will reap significant rewards in your efforts toward achieving and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Incorporating meditation into your daily routine provides many profound benefits - it is great for body, mind, and spirit. Meditation can improve mental clarity, focus, and memory. Besides increasing your sense of well-being and lifting your mood, it has been shown to be very effective in replacing some medications. In addition to a bazillion meditation phone apps available, my personal favorite is Omvana, a free app that has the 6 Phase Meditation. You can also download a free phone app called Quest by Mindvalley (my personal favorite option) and enroll in the free 6 Phase Meditation Quest, a 7-day long Quest which will upgrade your meditation practice to an entirely new level – based on scientifically backed concepts. The Quest option helps build understanding and technique, which make the 6 Phase Meditation more effective.
The bottom line is, it's never too late to start, and setting a goal to get started (and then just do it!) is an excellent addition to your to-do list! Remember, small steps on a consistent basis bring great results :)
