Why IV Myers at Oasis

A Myers’ Cocktail is the most common Nutritional IV Therapy injection and is a healing combination of vitamins and minerals consisting of magnesium, calcium, B12 and many other B vitamins and vitamin C that are all given through a vein. Please watch my video below for more information on the benefits of the Myers' Cocktail IV Therapy.

The Myers’ Cocktail has been used to aid general fatigue, chronic fatigue syndrome/fibromyalgia, relieve acute asthma attacks, upper respiratory tract infections, chronic sinus infections, seasonal allergies, migraine headaches, muscle spasms, menstrual cramps, as well as to support recovery from endurance athletics

Many relatively healthy patients choose to receive periodic Myers’ Cocktail injections because it enhances their overall well-being for variable periods of time.

This cocktail is named after John Myers, a physician from Baltimore, Maryland. He treated patients with IV nutrient therapy in the 1980's. Since then, thousands of patients nationwide have received this cocktail with great benefits.

At Oasis, we can almost always run the charge through PPO Insurance or Traditional Medicare if you have one of those so that you pay much less (or nothing) than if you get the same therapy done elsewhere.  Please share this fact with your family and friends.

"Is it right for me if I’m feeling run down, fatigued, or am getting a cold?"

One of the biggest reasons to recommend and administer Nutritional IVs is because a person is run down, fatigued, under moderate to severe stress or is at the beginning of an illness such as flu or cold. The majority of people respond rapidly to therapy with results lasting days to several months for symptoms associated with flu, common cold, or other respiratory "bugs."

Clients with symptoms associated with chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) or fibromyalgia usually improve with weekly or twice monthly injections. In some cases, the improvements are after the first IV, others after 3-4 treatments. Some patients become progressively healthier and eventually stop treatment. Other patients maintain periodic injections to help them function better and restore energy.

As I stated above, the Myers’ Cocktail is beneficial for general health maintenance, aiding athletic performance and recovery, advanced aging, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, asthma, congestive heart failure, allergies, gut problems, drug withdrawal, and menstrual cramps, among other health conditions.

Have a great week, and feel free to pass this along!

What happened when Moses complained about his headache?

(Joe-kster, Moses' Headache Relief, © 2009)

People who suffer from migraines and migraine-like headaches have been shown to be significantly deficient in the mineral magnesium compared to those with no history of migraines.  A study titled “Blood Magnesium levels in migraineurs within and between the headache attacks: a case control study” shows that assessing magnesium levels and then supplementing with magnesium when levels are low is therapeutically useful.

My own mother-in-law recently visited a neurologist for severe reoccurring migraines.  Guess what was prescribed?  Riboflavin (Vitamin B-2) plus Magnesium.  I was delighted.  And my mother-in-law is still delighted because they are working better than the prescription drug for migraines was working!

Below are a few other lifestyle recommendations that may be useful if you get migraines or migraine-like headaches:

1. Control stress and avoid extra obligations.

2. Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.

3. Avoid use of toxic cleaning chemicals.

4. Practice good sleep habits and get between 8-9 hours of sleep a night.

5. Avoid foods containing tyramine such as aged cheeses, brewers yeast and yeast containing foods such as bread and soups, pickled, aged, smoked and fermented meats including frankfurters, pepperoni, salami, bacon, bologna, and ham, chocolate, citrus fruits, red wine, and beer.

6. Avoiding foods containing tannin may be helpful such as black teas, many herb teas, apple juice, dates, kiwi, peaches, berries, coffee, carob, alfalfa, walnuts and pecans.

7. Dairy products often aggravate sinus congestion which can contribute to migraines.

8. Avoid known food allergens.

9. Eat a diet high in omega 3 fats including fish such as salmon, mackerel and sardines.

What do you do when you get a headache?  I do what they say on the box – “take 2 tablets” and “keep away from children”!
