Our Holistic Health Coach, Tracy, wrote the following summary from Dr. Kevin Kelly's event last month.

What if Breast Ultrasound Early Detection could end death from Breast Cancer?

We had an amazing Community Event here at Oasis Family Medicine in January. We were honored to have Dr. Kevin Kelly, a leading expert in breast cancer detection, discuss the real truth about breast ultrasound versus other methods of detection, and the results are astounding. This technology has the capability to detect all breast cancers between 5-10 mm in size and some even as small as 3-4 mm. The amazing thing about this is that breast cancer under 10 mm in size does not lead to death (less than 1%) in any of the women studied. Early detection is the key! This technology has the potential to change the future of women's health similar to the way that the pap smear ended cervical cancer death for women back in the 1950's. Just like the pap smear, early detection and removal of the lesion saves lives and changes history.

Here at Oasis, we encourage you be informed and make a difference for future generations. This technology is available right here in Pasadena by Dr. Kelly himself, the inventor of the ultrasound system. After many years working with all forms of breast cancer detection, Dr. Kelly knew that ultrasound yielded the highest rate of detection. It also removes any radiation concerns and finds cancer at a much smaller size than any other method. Please check out his website and get informed. It's a life-saving decision.

We hope to bring Dr. Kelly back to Oasis again, so stay tuned!
